Ayodhya Ram temple event: Half-day leave declared for all central govt offices on Jan 22

The central government offices will remain closed until 2:30 pm in observance of the Ram Temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya.


“All central government offices will be closed for half a day on January 22, 2024, in observance of the Ram temple consecration ceremony in Ayodhya, as announced by Union minister Jitendra Singh. The decision, outlined in an office memorandum from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), aims to allow employees to partake in the celebrations, responding to the widespread sentiment and demands of the workforce.”

“Various activities have been planned by organisations and groups of people across India and abroad to coincide with the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. Doordarshan has made elaborate arrangements for live telecast of the entire event, which will also be shown live on several private TV channels. Arrangements have also been made for screening the Ayodhya ceremony live on large screens at public places in India and abroad,” a source emphasized.
