New Delhi, December 29, 2023 – In a landmark series of events, Prime Minister Modi is set to inaugurate and launch transformative projects in Ayodhya, emphasizing a vision for modern world-class infrastructure. The schedule includes the inauguration of the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, the flagging off of new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, and the dedication of various railway projects.

Inauguration of Ayodhya Airport

  • The PM will inaugurate Ayodhya Airport, with the front of the terminal building depicting the temple architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir.

Inauguration of Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station

  • The PM will inaugurate the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, improving connectivity in the region.

PM Modi Flag off Vande Bharat Trains

  • The PM will also flag off six new Vande Bharat trains, contributing to the improvement of rail transportation.
  • Redeveloped Roads in Ayodhya:
  • Four newly redeveloped, widened, and beautified roads in Ayodhya will be inaugurated by the PM, enhancing accessibility to the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir.
  • Greenfield Township in Ayodhya:
    • The PM will lay the foundation stone of a greenfield township in Ayodhya, which is being developed at a cost of more than Rs 2180 crore.
  • Other Significant Projects Across Uttar Pradesh:
    • The PM will also inaugurate and dedicate various other significant projects across Uttar Pradesh, with a total worth exceeding Rs 4600 crore. These projects are likely to contribute to the overall development and infrastructure of the state.
  • This comprehensive set of initiatives reflects a substantial investment in the development of Ayodhya and Uttar Pradesh, aiming to improve transportation, civic amenities, and overall infrastructure for the benefit of the residents and visitors.

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, on the 30th of December 2023

At noon, the spotlight turns to the newly built Ayodhya Airport, a pivotal addition to the city’s connectivity. The day culminates with a public program at 1 PM, where the PM will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay foundation stones for projects totaling over Rs 15,700 crore. This includes projects worth Rs 11,100 crore focused on Ayodhya’s development and an additional Rs 4600 crore for projects across Uttar Pradesh.

The PM’s vision encompasses the development of Ayodhya with modern infrastructure, improved connectivity, and revamped civic facilities, all while preserving the city’s rich history and heritage. The unveiled projects, ranging from the airport and railway station to roads and civic infrastructure, represent a significant step toward realizing this vision.

Ayodhya Airport

Phase 1 of the state-of-the-art airport is developed at a cost of more than Rs 1450 crore. The airport’s terminal building will have an area of 6500 sqm, equipped to serve about 10 lakh passengers annually. The facade of the Terminal Building depicts the temple architecture of the upcoming Shri Ram Mandir of Ayodhya. The interiors of the terminal Building are decorated with local art, paintings & murals depicting the life of Bhagwan Shri Ram. The terminal building of Ayodhya airport is also equipped with various sustainability features like insulated roofing system, LED lighting, rain water harvesting, landscaping with fountains, water treatment plant, sewage treatment plant, solar power plant and many other such features have been provided to meet GRIHA – 5 star ratings. The airport will improve connectivity in the region, leading to a boost in tourism, business activities and employment opportunities.

Ayodhya’s Transformative Day Unveiled by Prime Minister

In a historic moment of progress and development, Prime Minister [PM’s Name] is set to inaugurate a multitude of projects in Ayodhya, aimed at elevating the city’s infrastructure and civic amenities. The schedule includes the inauguration of the Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, the unveiling of new Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat trains, and the dedication of key railway projects.

Phase I of the redeveloped Ayodhya Railway Station, now named Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station, stands as a testament to modernization, with a cost exceeding Rs 240 crore. The three-storey structure boasts elevators, escalators, food plazas, shops for puja needs, cloakrooms, and waiting halls, making it an ‘accessible for all’ and ‘IGBC certified green station building.’

Revolutionizing Rail Travel: Amrit Bharat and Vande Bharat Trains

Witnessing the Prime Minister’s flag-off ceremony, Ayodhya Dham Junction Railway Station will welcome the Amrit Bharat Express, a category of superfast passenger trains. Additionally, six new Vande Bharat Trains will embark on their journeys, promising improved facilities such as attractive seat designs, enhanced luggage racks, mobile charging points, LED lights, CCTV, and more.

Strengthening Rail Infrastructure: Dedications and Unveilings

The PM will dedicate three significant railway projects, amounting to Rs 2300 crore, reinforcing the rail infrastructure in the region. These projects include the Rooma Chakeri-Chanderi third line project, various sections of the Jaunpur-Ayodhya-Barabanki doubling project, and the electrification project of the Malhaur-Daliganj railway section.

Roads Redefined: Enhancing Accessibility in Ayodhya

Notable projects include the Rajarshi Dashrath Autonomous State Medical College, four-lane roads, an ROB at Badi Bua Railway Crossing, a solid waste treatment plant, and new buildings for Dr. Brajkishore Homoeopathic College and Hospital.

Foundation Stones Laid: Envisioning the Future of Ayodhya

These projects include the conservation and beautification of historical entrance gates, development of concrete ghats, and the construction of a visitor gallery for Deepotsav and other fairs at Ram Ki Paidi.

Expanding Horizons: Projects Beyond Ayodhya

Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of a greenfield township in Ayodhya, a new NH-28 (new NH-27) Lucknow-Ayodhya section, the strengthening and modification of NH-28 (new NH-27) existing Ayodhya bypass, the establishment of the CIPET center, and the construction of the Municipal Corporation Ayodhya and Ayodhya Development Authority office.

Uttar Pradesh on the Development Map: Projects Across the State

The public program will witness the inauguration and dedication of significant projects across Uttar Pradesh, reinforcing the commitment to comprehensive development. These include four-lane widening, strengthening and upgradation of road sections, capacity increase of LPG plants, sewage treatment plants, and CETP for the Tannery Cluster at Jajmau in Kanpur.
