Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to catalyze Goa’s progress on February 6th, 2024, unveiling projects worth over Rs. 1330 crores, from cutting-edge educational campuses to sustainable waste management solutions.
Goa, February 05, 2024: Get ready, Goa..!! Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to make waves on February 6th, 2024, at around 10:30 AM. Under the banner of ‘Viksit Bharat, Viksit Goa 2047,’ the Prime Minister will unleash a whirlwind of development, inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for projects that collectively boast a whopping value of over Rs. 1330 crores.
One of the highlights of the visit is the grand opening of the permanent campus of the National Institute of Technology Goa. This state-of-the-art campus is decked out with everything a thriving academic hub needs—tutorial complexes, departmental setups, seminar spaces, administrative buildings, hostels, health centers, staff quarters, amenity centers, a sports ground, and other essential utilities for students, faculty, and staff.
But that’s not all. The Prime Minister will also christen the new campus of the National Institute of Watersports, bringing with it a wave of excitement. With 28 specialized courses on the horizon, this institute is poised to become a hotspot for water enthusiasts, catering to both the public and the Armed Forces.
In addition to these milestones, the Prime Minister will kickstart a revolution in waste management with the inauguration of a 100 TPD Integrated Waste Management Facility in South Goa. Scientifically treating 60 TPD wet waste and 40 TPD dry waste, this facility doesn’t stop there—it’s also equipped with a 500 KW solar power plant, generating surplus electricity.
Hold onto your seats as the Prime Minister lays the foundation stone for a Passenger Ropeway, set to connect Panaji and Reis Magos, bringing a new dimension to tourism in the region. And that’s not all—a 100 MLD Water Treatment Plant in South Goa will also see its foundation stone laid, promising a brighter and cleaner future.
But it’s not just about structures and plants. The Prime Minister will wear the hat of a job creator, distributing appointment orders to 1930 new Government recruits across various departments during the Rozgar Mela. Additionally, he’ll extend a helping hand to the beneficiaries of various welfare schemes, handing over sanction letters to make dreams a reality.
