Ram Lalla idol’s first photo inside Ayodhya temple’s sanctum sanctorum revealed

The revelation of the first photo of the veiled Ram Lalla idol took place during the placement ceremony in the sanctum sanctorum on Thursday, marking a significant moment in the Ayodhya temple’s construction.

The historic placement of the 51-inch Ram Lalla idol inside the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram temple in Ayodhya occurred on Thursday, paving the way for the momentous ‘pran-pratishta’ ceremony scheduled for January 22. Crafted by a skilled sculptor from Mysuru with a heritage spanning five generations of renowned artisans, the idol symbolizes a significant milestone in the realization of the Ram Janmabhoomi mandir.

The historic moment unfolded as the first photo of the veiled Ram Lalla idol emerged during the sanctum sanctorum placement ceremony on Thursday, shared by Vishwa Hindu Parishad’s media in-charge, Sharad Sharma. Vedic Brahmins and revered acharyas led worship ceremonies, with the participation of the Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra members, marking a significant step in the consecration process. Priest Arun Dixit, associated with the ceremony, revealed that the idol was reverently placed amidst the chanting of prayers, as confirmed by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust.

“In addition, various sacred rituals were conducted, including the presentation of vastras to Brahmins, and each participant has been assigned specific responsibilities.”

Ram temple ‘pran-pratishtha’ ceremony on January 22

“Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the momentous ‘pran pratishtha’ ceremony at Ayodhya’s Ram temple on January 22, where a distinguished team of priests, led by Lakshmikant Dixit, will conduct the pivotal rituals. The occasion will witness the presence of various celebrities and notable personalities, adding grandeur to the historic event.”

The highly anticipated Ayodhya temple, constructed at the sacred birthplace of Lord Ram, is set to open its doors to the public on January 23, following the commencement of rituals for the consecration ceremony. This momentous occasion comes after a historic 2019 Supreme Court judgment that resolved the long-standing temple-mosque dispute and facilitated the construction of the revered temple.

“Amidst sacred rituals, the Ayodhya temple doors will remain closed to visitors until January 22, unveiling a momentous revelation on January 23.”

The pivotal pran-pratishtha (consecration ceremony) of Lord Ram Lalla at the Ram Janmabhoomi Temple reached its fourth day, marked by the sacred ignition of the holy fire at 9 am, accompanied by the establishment of ‘Navagraha’ and a solemn ‘Havan’ as part of the week-long Vedic rituals.

On the fourth day of vedic rituals at the Ayodhya temple, overseen by the Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust, significant worship of deities like Ganapati and the recitation of Vedas from all branches will take place.

The sacred idol of Lord Ram Lalla, enshrined within the temple’s sanctum sanctorum on Thursday, is poised to undergo consecration today, receiving distinct abodes such as ‘Aushdhadhiwas’ (medicinal abode), ‘Kesaradhiwas’ (saffron abode), ‘Dhritashiwas’ (Dhrita abode), and ‘Pushpadhiwas’ (flower abode), before being adorned in saffron and grains.
