New Delhi, January 18, 2024 – In the concluding day of U19 Cricket World Cup warm-up clashes, Bangladesh stole the spotlight with a remarkable victory over Australia, featuring a sensational four-wicket haul by quick bowler Rohanat Doullah Borson, including a hat-trick. Meanwhile, other cricket powerhouses India and New Zealand secured victories, setting the stage for an exciting tournament.

India vs. Sri Lanka

India emerged victorious against Sri Lanka by seven wickets in Pretoria. Captain Uday Saharan’s consistent form, with a second consecutive fifty in warm-up matches, played a pivotal role in chasing down Sri Lanka’s 209. Musheer Khan’s three-wicket haul restricted Sri Lanka to 208/9. Despite a shaky start, India’s middle-order stabilized the innings, guiding them to a comfortable win.

New Zealand vs. Scotland

New Zealand dominated Scotland, securing a commanding 130-run victory at St Stithians Jameson Field 1. Skipper Oscar Jackson’s unbeaten century, supported by contributions from Tom Jones and Snehith Reddy, propelled New Zealand to a formidable total of 306/9. Scotland struggled to form partnerships, eventually being bowled out for 176, with Ryan Tsourgas and Mason Clarke claiming two wickets each.

Despite Dominic Kelly’s impressive 3/28 (7), England secured the win, with Eddie Jack claiming the final wicket.
