Brief Information: The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB), Bhopal, has released a revised notification for the Direct Recruitment Examination 2026, extending the last date to apply. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies for the posts of Van Rakshak (Forest Guard), Kshetra Rakshak (Field Guard), Jail Prahari (Jail Guard), and Sahayak Jail Adhikshak (Assistant Jail Superintendent). Application Fee

  • General / Unreserved Candidates: Rs. 500/- per paper
  • SC / ST / OBC / EWS / PWD (MP Domicile Only): Rs. 250/- per paper
  • Direct Recruitment Backlog Candidates: No Fee
  • MP Online Portal Charge: Rs. 60/- (if applying via Kiosk)
  • Registered Citizen User Portal Charge: Rs. 20/-
  • Payment Mode: Pay the exam fee online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, or through an MP Online Kiosk.

Age Limit (Calculated as on 01 January 2026)

  • Minimum Age: 18 Years (For Forest Guard, Field Guard, and Jail Prahari).
  • Minimum Age: 21 Years (For Assistant Jail Superintendent).
  • Maximum Age: 33 Years (For Unreserved Male Candidates).
  • Maximum Age: 38 Years (For Female Applicants, SC, ST, OBC, Govt Employees, and Home Guards).
  • Note: Age relaxation is applicable as per Madhya Pradesh Government rules, and the maximum age relaxation is available only to MP-domiciled candidates.

(Important Note: All candidates must have a live/active registration with the Employment Exchange of Madhya Pradesh state. The total number of posts may be revised as per the recent MPESB notice.

Physical Standard Test (PST) Details

  1. Forest Guard & Field Guard:
  • Male: Height – 163 cm | Chest – 79 cm with a minimum expansion of 5 cm.
  • Female: Height – 150 cm | Chest – Not Applicable.
  • Walking Test: Male candidates must complete 25 km in 4 hours, and female candidates must complete 14 km in 4 hours.
  1. Jail Prahari (Jail Guard):
  • Male: Height – 165 cm | Chest – 83 cm (Without expansion).
  • Female: Height – 158 cm.
  1. Assistant Jail Superintendent:
  • Male: Height – 168 cm | Chest – 84 cm to 89 cm (Requires expansion).
  • Female: Height – 155 cm.

(Note: Candidates applying for Jail Department posts must have normal vision, be medically fit, and free from physical deformities, knock-knees, or flat feet.)

How to Apply Online for MPESB Recruitment 2026

  1. Visit the official website of MPESB at www.esb.mp.gov.in.
  2. Ensure your Aadhaar Registration is complete, as biometric verification is mandatory for this exam.
  3. Read the full official notification and the revised date extension notice carefully before starting the application process.
  4. Gather the required scanned documents: a colour photograph (with date and name clearly mentioned, not older than 3 months), signature, and a self-handwritten declaration.
  5. Upload scanned copies of your 8th/10th/12th mark sheets for age proof, and category certificates if applicable.
  6. Fill out the application form with accurate details and select your preferred exam centres (options include Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur, Gwalior, Ujjain, and others).
  7. Pay the application fee via online modes (Net Banking, Debit/Credit Card) or MP Online Kiosk before 30 April 2026.
  8. Submit the form and take a printout of the final application and payment receipt for future reference.
